Reflective Astrology
Your life illuminates your birth chart.
Astrology offers a symbolic language through which we can explore the patterns, questions and possibilities within a life.
I don't approach a chart as a set of fixed meanings or predictions about who you are.
We explore it together, bringing the symbolism of astrology into conversation with your lived experience.
It's not about “this means that”
A birth chart contains complexity — tensions, triumphs, strengths, blessings and challenges. But what matters is also how it feels to live it.
The symbols and archetypes of astrology run deeply through our individual and collective stories. They can open up new ways of seeing what we are experiencing, help us recognise patterns, and invite questions we may not have thought to ask.
Rather than treating the chart as something that defines you, I am interested in what happens when its symbolism meets your own experience.
The chart offers the symbols. You bring the life.
We begin with a question
You might come with a particular question or an area of life you would like to explore — love, relationships, money, home, work, friendship, creativity, purpose or a time of change.
Or perhaps you don't quite know what the question is yet. We can begin with what feels most alive for you now and see where the chart takes us.
I use Hellenistic Astrology and the Whole Sign House system, working experientially and listening for the stories and archetypes that are timeless, as well as those that are uniquely yours.
You don't need to know anything about astrology before you come.
What happens in a reading?
A reading is a conversation. I will have spent time with your chart before we meet, but the session isn't a lecture about your planets.
We explore the chart together, making space for your memories, associations, questions and responses to what emerges. Sometimes something in the symbolism resonates immediately; sometimes it opens a question or a different way of seeing something that continues to unfold afterwards.
You are always free to question, disagree with or reject an interpretation. Your experience matters more than making your life fit the chart.
A good reading can stay with you, offering fruitful reflection for months — sometimes years — afterwards.
Practical details:
A reflective astrology consultation lasts 1 hour 15 minutes and costs £80.
Readings are available online or in person at Waterloo Court, near Junction 27 of the M5.
Once your appointment is confirmed, I will send you payment details. Payment is required at least 24 hours before the consultation.
If you need to cancel or rearrange your consultation, please give at least 48 hours’ notice where possible. Cancellations within 24 hours are normally non-refundable, as I will have set aside time to prepare your chart. I understand that unexpected circumstances arise, and these can always be discussed.
I offer consultations to people aged 18 and over.
We can, of course, explore your experience of relationships with other people. However, I don't interpret another person's birth chart without their knowledge and permission.
Astrology and Counselling
Astrology is offered as a reflective practice in its own right. Although my approach is informed by counselling principles, an astrology consultation is not the same as counselling or psychotherapy.
I also offer counselling as a separate professional service. If something emerges through an astrology consultation that you would like to explore more deeply, we can talk about whether counselling might be appropriate.
There is no expectation that the two forms of work are combined.
My astrology practice
I have studied astrology over many years, with certificated training in Hellenistic astrology through Nightlight Astrology and in experiential astrology with the Hermes Hestia Centre.
These different traditions have shaped a practice that is grounded in astrological technique while also being relational, experiential and open to the complexity of an individual life. I am interested not only in what a symbol might mean, but in what it evokes, what it connects us with, and what becomes possible when we stay curious about it.
My experience of counselling, movement and other embodied and creative practices also informs the way I listen and work.
For me, astrology is at its most valuable when it opens something rather than closes it down — offering another way to reflect on who we are, where we have been and what may be asking for our attention now.
