A space to be heard, understood and met as you are.
The world of counselling and psychotherapy can sometimes feel daunting. In reality, at the heart of therapy is a relationship — a confidential space where you can talk openly about what is happening in your life and begin to explore your experience at your own pace.

Trust and understanding develop as experiences are shared.
Therapy can sometimes feel uncomfortable or exposing, but it can also be a great relief to be heard in a relationship that doesn't carry the usual expectations of friendship, family or work.
This is a space that is about you — about being heard and understood, saying what you may not be able to say elsewhere, and safely exploring thoughts, feelings and experiences that may have been difficult to put into words.
Not all counsellors are the same, and the relationship matters. It is important that working together feels right for both of us.
My approach is relational and integrative. Rather than following one fixed method, I draw on different ways of understanding our emotional lives while keeping the relationship between us at the heart of the work.
We can explore what is happening for you now, as well as the experiences and relationships that have shaped you. Sometimes we may notice patterns that keep repeating, or ways of coping that once protected you but no longer feel helpful.
We might work with thoughts and feelings, but also with what is happening in the body, with images, dreams, memories or whatever naturally emerges in the session. There is no particular way you are expected to “do” therapy.
I won't tell you who you are or what you should do. We work together, with curiosity and compassion, towards a deeper understanding of what feels true for you.
All of you is welcome here.
You may know exactly what has brought you to counselling, or you may simply have a sense that something isn't right.
Perhaps you are feeling anxious, overwhelmed or stuck. You may be navigating loss, change or difficulties in a relationship, or finding that familiar patterns keep bringing you back to the same place.
Sometimes there isn't an obvious problem at all. You may simply want somewhere to understand yourself more deeply, to make sense of what you are feeling, or to discover what you need now.
You don't need to arrive with an explanation. We can begin wherever you are.
Counselling sessions are one hour and cost £60.
Sessions are available in person, online by Zoom or by telephone. In-person sessions are at Waterloo Court, near Junction 27 of the M5. We can talk about which way of meeting feels most comfortable and appropriate for you.
We would usually meet weekly, giving us a regular space to build the relationship and explore what is happening for you at a pace that feels manageable.
Before we begin, I offer an initial free-of-charge conversation about what brings you to counselling and what you hope for from our work together. It is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of me and whether working together feels right for you.
There is no expectation that you commit before you have had a chance to decide.
Payment details will be provided when we arrange our work together, with payment required at least 24 hours before each session.
My own experience has taught me something about the courage it can take to sit with another person and begin to speak about the things that matter. This understanding is part of what brought me to counselling.
I don't see counselling as something I do to another person. I see it as a process we enter together, with curiosity about what emerges between us and what it might tell us about your wider experience.
What matters most to me is creating a relationship in which you can gradually feel able to bring more of yourself — including the parts that may have been difficult to understand, express or share elsewhere.
